The closing program of the Cultural Harmony and Information Bridge project, carried out by Two East Two West International Student Association with the support of the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was held. With the training and events organized for international students from all over the world, it is aimed to ensure that international students integrate with Turkish culture and to encourage knowledge sharing regarding different disciplines in this process. Konya Governorship Provincial Civil Society Relations Manager Özgür Karayazılı, Two East Two West International Student Association President Murat Arslan, Prof. attended the program held at Karatay Municipality Aziziye Cultural Center. Dr. Bekir Biçer, association managers and international students receiving training within the scope of the project attended.
Making the opening speech of the program, Two East Two West International Student Association President Murat Arslan thanked the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their support to the project. President Arslan stated that the project was carried out to ensure that international students integrate with Turkish culture and to encourage knowledge sharing for different disciplines in this process, and said, “We received positive results as a result of the project. Our international students devotedly participated in the training and activities held within the scope of the project. “I congratulate all our teachers and students.” he said.
Following the speeches, Cultural Harmony and Information Bridge Project Coordinator Zeynep Erva Şahin made a presentation about the activities and workshops carried out within the scope of the project. Şahin, the project Its main goal is to recognize that cultural harmony plays a key role in terms of social cohesion in a society. to emphasize and create a strong basis for intercultural interaction and communication. In this context, a social interaction model with broad participation has been created by ensuring that both local people and individuals from different cultures know and understand each other.” he said. Within the scope of the project, Şahin organized Konya Panoramic City Tour, Writers and Young Readers Meeting, Nevşehir Trip, Clean Environment Konya event, World Education and War Workshop, Social Entrepreneurship Seminar as well as Painting Workshop, Calligraphy Workshop, Digital Innovation Workshop, Flavors from the World Workshop. He stated that Aid and Basic Disaster Training were provided.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Rohenza Martha Sukma stated that the project was very productive and that they had the chance to learn the different cultures of Konya and Turkey. Another student, Maysam Hasan Tabsho, thanked the Two East Two West International Student Association and the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations for organizing the project and said that the project made a great contribution to the educational process and that they accumulated unforgettable memories of Turkish culture. At the end of the program, certificates were presented to the students who participated in the project.
